Genevieve Jaide is a songwriter whose music is rooted in the natural world, personal reflection, and the connections she’s made along the way. Blending elements of folk, indie-pop, alternative, and Canadiana, her songs are both intimate and expansive—driven by honest (sometimes awkward) lyrics, and a sound that moves between tender and groove-filled. Her latest release navigates mental health, social anxiety, and the struggles of surviving in the world today, offering a raw and relatable reflection of the human experience. Based in Northern BC on Lheidli T’enneh Territory, she is currently performing with a new formation of friends: Brock Patch, Melissa Walker, and Connor Pritchard.

Lorissa Scriven’s distinctive brand of earthy folk has its roots deep in the river valleys of northern British Columbia, where she grew steeped in music and wild places. Among the spruce and aspen of her hometown, Taylor BC, this Saulteau Nations woman found songs spontaneously happening inside her as naturally as a river flowing. Her sound is reflective of artists like Bonnie Payne, Serena Ryder, and Feist, and her influences include Gillian Welch, Allison Krauss, Emmylou Harris; William Prince, and Frazy Ford.
